Mullholland Drive Vista Point (*Los Angeles tour stop)

Mulholland Drive is a very well-known road in Los Angeles, California named after engineer William Mulholland. A portion of it is also called Mulholland Highway. The mostly two-lane, minor arterial road loosely follows the ridgeline of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Hollywood Hills, connecting two sections of the U.S. Route 101, and crossing Sepulveda Boulevard, Beverly Glen Boulevard, Coldwater Canyon, Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Nichols Canyon and Outpost. It offers views of both the Los Angeles basin and the San Fernando Valley. Los Angeles tours reviews

Hollywood Boulevard (*Los Angeles tour stop)

Hollywood Boulevard is Hollywood's main artery and was one of its most glamorous streets in LA. Hollywood Boulevard is a host to the annual Academy Awards excitement and the first stop for visitors to California's entertainment mecca. Grauman's Chinese Theatre is probably the most famous movie theatre in the world and a symbol of Hollywood that many people recognize.  The Hollywood and Highland entertainment and retail center multi-level complex opened in 2001 next to Grauman's Chinese Theatre and directly across Hollywood Boulevard from Disney's El Capitan Theatre. The Hollywood Sign is framed by an Egyptian-style arch and numerous architectural elements including two huge sitting elephant sculptures on top evoke the glitz and glamour of an earlier era. The sidewalk in front of the Hollywood and Highland Center is now the most popular location for stars in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Other entertainment venues of interest to visitors on Hollywood Boulevard include the Hollywood Entertainment Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum and Guinness World of Records. Los Angeles day tours from airport

LA Farmers Market and The Grove (*Los Angeles tour stop)

The Farmers Market is one of the most popular sights in Los Angeles, an official Los Angeles Cultural and Historical Landmark drawing over 3 million visitors a year. The charm of the Farmers Market lies in unpretentious connection to the past: red vinyl stools and green Formica counters, green-painted folding chairs. The crowd is a combination of Hollywood locals who still come here to buy meats and produce and tourists licking ice cream cones. Los Angeles Times still lists the Farmers Market as the best place in Los Angeles to spot celebrities. The Grove at Farmers Market, an 80,000 square foot retail and restaurant complex opened in 2002. Tied to the Farmers Market by a gleaming green streetcar and a simulated main street, it adds more attractions at the corner of Third and Fairfax. A few older storage buildings were taken down to make way for the construction, but the Farmers Market remains intact, making it possibly one of the most interesting seventy-somethings in Los Angeles. The Sunset Strip

The Sunset Strip is the name given to the mile and a half stretch of Sunset Boulevard that passes through West Hollywood, California.  The Strip is probably the best known portion of Sunset, embracing a premier collection of boutiques, restaurants, rock clubs, and nightclubs that are on the cutting edge of the entertainment industry. It is also known for its trademark array of huge, colorful billboards and has developed a notoriety as a hang out for rock stars, movie stars and entertainers. Los Angeles private tours

Santa Monica (*Los Angeles tour stop)

The colorful city of Santa Monica is sandwiched between Venice and Malibu along the beautiful coastline of the Pacific Ocean. This lively California destination serves as the western end of the famous Route 66 highway. The three major shopping destinations in Santa Monica are centered around Main Street, Montana Avenue and Third Street Promenade, which features Santa Monica Place. Topiary dinosaur fountains, multi-screen movie theatres, upscale boutiques, free-standing pavilions and trendy sidewalk cafés have transformed a once dreary district into a popular pedestrian promenade. The Santa Monica Pier contains Pacific Park, a family amusement park with a large Ferris wheel. It also has a carousel from the 1920s, an aquarium, shops, entertainers, an arcade, a pub, and restaurants. The Santa Monica Pier is a must-see destination in Southern California.
